first moves.

New to Pilates? Not sure where to start? We have the lesson package for you! First Moves gives us the chance to get to know you, your goals, how you learn and what gets you excited to move. We will design your program with you, to optimise your training time in the studio with your specific needs and goals in mind.

You will get to experience the Pilates apparatus guided by your teacher while you are introduced to the Pilates concepts and repertoire to start you on your journey.

Following your First Moves lessons, you have the opportunity to enter the Go Slō Gym. If you are participating in movement recovery or prefer to work one on one with your teacher, continue with your own Private tuition program.

The studio is where your movement menu is limitless, meeting your movement objectives through the traditional Pilates method, mobility training and current movement education concepts.

The focus is on you. Move at your own pace at a time that works for you with your teacher to guide you through your personal tuition program in a physical education experience specific to you. The small studio environment is designed to promote focus and intent within your practice with minimal distractions.

The best thing? Whether you are going through movement recovery or need sport-specific performance training, we have you covered. We meet you where you are. Move strong. Move classic. Move slō.

contrology moves.

Contrology Moves is a class like no other. The format gives you an opportunity to work at your own pace, using the full range of studio apparatus including the Reformer, Wunda Chair, Cadillac, Barrels and Mat. Our classes are kept small in number so we can give you our attention when it comes to your goals and growth. We teach you to become autonomous in your practice.

Everyone has the opportunity to learn, understand and feel the extent of the Pilates repertoire in their own body. Try it all on a different apparatus to really understand your limitless movement menu.

Once you have completed your First Moves lessons, you will be ready to join Contrology Moves. Your teacher will be there for you through the whole session to give you as much challenge and variation as you need on any given day so they can guide you through the lesson with exactly what you need. Want to kick ass? Not feeling great? It doesn’t matter, we meet you where you are.

All movers are welcome. Whether you are a beginner, a movement enthusiast or an athlete, we meet you at your level. We recommend attending a combination of 3 classes per week to create a habitual practice.

matwork + slō moves.

Matwork Moves

Just you and your mat. Matwork Moves introduces you to the concepts of the Pilates Matwork exercises starting from the very beginning. Over time, we will help you to build your repertoire to the entire 34 Original Pilates Matwork exercises and beyond. Learn how you move using only your body and the space around you while gaining a deep understanding of the Pilates Method. Any level of mover is welcome. We recommend attending a combination of 3 classes per week to create a habitual practice.

Slō Moves - Restore

Slō controlled moves, slō directed breathing and slō release holds, designed with love to invigorate your body and calm your mind of noise. Slō Moves is Matwork based with small props. Suitable for any level and every mood and a little different every time. 

Slō Moves - Mobility

Mobility uses the concepts of Functional Range Conditioning to restore full joint function to the body. In this class, you will understand how your body moves and what to do to increase and balance your working joint range. Movements are slō, focussed and controlled, using the entire body every time. We want you to be fully functioning for life.
